Mad Kings Publishing is dedicated to preserving the history of the Michigan Military Academy (1877-1908), which was located in Orchard Lake, Michigan. This prestigious school was considered by many to be the best school of its kind in the country (second only to West Point), and became known as the "West Point of the West." Ongoing research will help ensure that this facet of Michigan's rich past will not be forgotten.

Families of former cadets seeking additional information or individuals with items for sale or loan are encouraged to contact us. A cadet roster is available on this site with over 1,700 names of individuals that attended the MMA.
